ANOTHER GREAT YEAR AS WE “RAISED OUR GLASSES”
On May 10, 2017, Urban Optiks hosted another great evening of eye-popping fun and festiveness! This year – our third annual event – saw more attendee and vendor participation then ever. Held at the Cairo Building Courtyard, attendees experienced our Mega Vendor Trunk Show featuring 20 of our frame & lens vendors while enjoying food and drinks provided in part by Pardon My French Bar And Kitchen. In addition to the great shopping event, we also unveiled our newly remodeled retail boutique space with expanded merchandising locations which allow us to present even more product and frame lines. The evening wrapped up with an after-party across the street at Pardon My French with a final toast to a fun night of celebration filled with great cocktails and live entertainment.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR VENDORS AND EVENT SPONSORS

REMODEL REVEAL AND OPEN HOUSE
Raise Your Glasses experienced the unveiling of our updated and remodeled vintage-industrial inspired retail area. In our typical style, we foraged locally-sourced furnishings, finishes and display elements to compliment the style and unique atmosphere which is a signature of Urban Optiks. Renovations included additional merchandising locations to present even more product and framelines, a dedicated optician servicing counter to better assist you with the selection of frames and dispensing, new seating options in our reception and showroom space, eclectic and innovative use of “reclaimed” furnishings and fixtures, vivid LED displays, exciting graphic elements, and so many more.
This year at Raise Your Glasses we hosted a collection campaign of funds and no-longer-used eyewear for local non-profit Lion’s Optometric Vision Clinic (LOVC) right here in San Diego. The LOVC provides eye care for those who are otherwise unable to obtain assistance through private insurance, welfare, or other social service agencies. With the support of the local San Diego County Lions Clubs, it has provided eyeglasses to over 10,000 individuals. The tireless effort and dedication of volunteers from the Lions Club and the San Diego County Optometric Society have made this a successful and important project.
AFTER PARTY CELEBRATION
Pardon My French Bar And Kitchen not only provided their fine culinary creations for Raise Your Glasses with many tasty hor d’oeuvres, but they also hosted our after party and created a fun night of celebration and live entertainment. After a very successful evening, participants headed across the street and rounded out the evening with fellow Urban Optiks customers, vendors and staff as we “raised our glasses” for one final toast! Stop by Pardon My French Bar and Kitchen and enjoy great French-fusion food and a fabulous time with locals and Europhiles alike – and let them know that Urban Optiks sent you!
