FEB31st Logo

High-end, fashion-forward, and sustainable - those are the hallmarks of FEB31ST. The idea behind FEB31ST is a simple one: respect for nature and human ingenuity combined to produce something that is wonderful to wear and use.

Respect for nature is at the core of the FEB31ST philosophy. and their respect for resources means economic sustainability, solid ethics, and an awareness of—and care for - one's surroundings. Their aesthetic is eco-friendly in many ways, including a made-to-order process that eliminates inventory and doesn’t waste resources.

About

There is no February 31st on the calendar. FEB31ST is an Italian firm whose story is based on the vision and tenacity of three entrepreneurs and has grown and spread throughout the world. Its founders wanted a reliable form of light manufacturing – one open to innovation and flexibility in the face of change. They believe in respecting the environment, their artisans, and their skills. They are devoted to delivering freedom of choice and genuinely tailor-made objects. It really does sound like a February 31st firm. That is, one that doesn’t exist … but it does – and that’s why it’s called FEB31ST.

Design & Craftsmanship

There is an earthly and divine satisfaction in “doing”. FEB31ST makes its glasses entirely in Val Brembilla, Italy. Created by combining high engineering, mechanics, and skillful manual finesse, each FEB31ST frame is unique – much like the wearer.

For a company to be both economically sustainable and ethically sound, it must be aware of and care about its surroundings. FEB31st is genuinely eco-friendly because it has recognized a waste of resources and eliminated it: there is no stock inventory, and the company produces only made-to-order goods.

History

You may not have heard of FEB31ST before, but that’s because the Italian brand was only founded in 2011. Although they are not yet a household name, you can expect to hear more from them in the future.

Creative director Valerio Cometti is the leader of a small team that takes great pride in their work. The material may be one of the biggest selling points for FEB31ST designer eyewear. The handmade frames are painstakingly carved from bolivar and kauri wood and are available in a range of around 35 colors.
